These set of works analyse the contemporary urban crisis and the precarious space we as beings occupy within this condition. rapid urbanisation in the name of development is thrust forcefully on us without ever caring whether we as people are consenting to it. i tried to understand this situation through images which i am familiar with through my practice as an artist and also as an individual livingwithinthissociety.interestinglytheimagesi chose were from works or images which are known as the symbol of enlightenment and high modernism. in the process i also try to analyse the varied meaning it produces when these two realities are brough t together a art historical and a contemporary life image. i try to read these tensions which erupt from such bringing together of various images and layers.
