Eddie, Joey & Lucy is part of a larger collection of photo-poems called Somewhere in the World, created by Bernadette and Philip. Berny takes pictures and Philip writes poems. They have combined their individual art forms to create a new, hybrid art – the photo-poem. While Berny’s photos depict life in Europe, Philip’s poems speak of universal, often elusive, emotions. Somewhere in the World is thus a reminder of the power of art to unite us, as opposed to the power of ideology to divide us. This photograph is a view from a moving tram of three cyclists on the go, in Amsterdam. Nearly every street has a view of the canal that runs through the vibrant city. This photo-poem comes with an additional 1.5 inches of blank space on all sides, to allow for framing. The framed image shown here is only for reference. The final product will be only the printed photo-poem on archival paper, rolled.
