Varanasi River View at Dawn, tries to capture the beauty and expanse of the waters of the Ganges as the first rays of the sun light them up, using bold, impressionistic strokes of oil colours on canvas with a palette knife. I have painted the Varanasi series inspired by photographs clicked by friend Rityusha and this one shows fishermen in a boat.
