'' A Kashmiri Midsummer Day's Dream'' inspired by a dear friend's visit to Shill Villa, a lovely house in Srinagar that was our home for a couple of years, and by the beauty and culture of the Kashmir Valley; in Kashmir, the stuff you see outdoors, the flora n fauna, Nature's beauty at her best, are painstakingly handcrafted indoors, reflecting in the paper mache artefacts, the rugs, the samovar, the aari work embroidery by the art-loving people. Art was and still is in the blood of the people here, before blood came to stain the arts for a not-so-brief patch... The lady in the art work is a friend, Garima who had come visiting us in ''Raazi House'' as we call it as key scenes of the Bollywood film, Raazi had been shot here. The pretty pose Garima struck as she had a pic taken before a beautiful bower of roses, the defining feature of Raazi House, set in motion the conceptual idea of the work- Garima on a magical carpet, flying over the beautiful vale and the beautiful vale and the details kept adding themselves.
