With the rising trend of intolerance and phobia of outsiders globally, we sadly come across victims of hate every day. My series of paintings is the exploration of those victims. The detachment and the hopelessness they feel has been captured by use of textures, and the bold structures depicts them in their most vulnerable state. I have also tried to explore social, emotional, and psychological dysfunction in the society, and how society relentlessly attacks and quashes the individual. The red dot is the caged spirit of the individual going inside its shell to protect itself from the outside world but sometimes the shape is also used to empower the viewer.
