Catch of the Day is one of the earliest works of the series. It was executed predominantly using knives. The silver paint represents the shine one sees on fish scales and the entire painting is an abstraction of a fisherman's haul. Roshni had spent a year at one of the worlds busiest docks - Savannah, Georgia USA, where most of the cuisine was seafood. She was greatly inspired by the expressionist movement - Pollock's style in particular and thus was inspired to produce this painting.
