Born in 1981, Rajib studied art from the Indian Society of Oriental Art and painting from the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. Primarily in ink or water colours or acrylic, his collection of works graces the walls of several homes and galleries across the world, including the United States of America, Kolkata and the State Gallery of Fine Arts in Hyderabad. ‘My art is the intimate language of my mind, arising out of things I can fundamentally relate to, especially nature or nature-oriented things. Basically, my art is a scribble of some line and some colour, and is not restricted by any rules,’ he says.
