Trident with Shiva as Ardhanari (Half-Woman) In this hybrid form of the deity, Shiva assumes his own form and that of his consort, Uma. The right half of the figure’s anatomy depicts Shiva with two arms-one resting on his bull mount, Nandi, and the other holding his battle-ax.
